Perhaps overshadowed somewhat by Buenos Aires, Montevideo has not been visited by travelers nearly as much as its Argentine neighbour. Nonetheless, this makes it a very pleasant city just off the road-well-travelled ripe for exploring. Take a stroll or a bike ride on la Rambla along the waterfront at sunset, or wander through the Old Town and visit the numerous cafés in this compact city. This map includes insets of the port city of Colonia (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the popular resort town of Punta del Este have been added. Also included on the reverse is our map of Uruguay.
