In deze reisgids nemen we je mee op reis door Dalarna op basis van onze eigen ervaringen. We beginnen met een algemeen stuk over Zweden en daarna wisselen blogverhalen en toeristische informatie elkaar af. Dalarna is een provincie in midden Zweden en is ongeveer even groot als België. In het hart van de provincie ligt het Siljan dat ontstaan is als gevolg van een meteorietinslag miljoenen jaren geleden. De provincie kenmerkt zich door ruige natuur, rendieren en Sami in het noorden en open landschappen met de bekende rode huisjes in het zuiden. In het zuiden vind je ook de restanten van de vroegere mijnbouw waarvan de groeve in Falun tot het werelderfgoed behoort. De provincie is ook het decor van de grootste langlaufwedstrijd ter wereld, de Vasaloppet met jaarlijks 16.000 deelnemers. In deze reisgids nemen we je mee in de windrichtingen rondom het Siljan dat in het hart van de provincie ligt.

Die Gesamtlänge des Hauptradweges beträgt rund 410 Kilometer.

Wegequalität

Der Alpe Adria Radweg verläuft zum Großteil auf ausgebauten Radwegen, vor allem im Salzachtal, im Gasteinertal, entlang der Möll, der Drau und der Gail. In Arnoldstein beginnt der Tarvis Radweg und führt ab der Grenze auf der ehemaligen Bahntrasse entlang, bestens ausgebaut – asphaltiert, zweispurig und gut beschildert. Es gibt immer noch kurze Abschnitte, die nicht asphaltiert sind, aber die werden von Monat zu Monat weniger, denn die Bauarbeiten schreiten voran. Ab Moggio Udinese verläuft die Route großteils auf Nebenstraßen, Landwirtschaftswegen und Straßen, aber auch auf Radwegen wie zum Beispiel vor Udine auf der sogenannten ln@natura Route und ab Palmanova auf dem Radweg entlang der Via Julia Augusta nach Grado.

Verkehr

Verkehrsbelastung gibt es auf dem österreichischen Teil der Route kaum, nur den längeren Abschnitt auf der B?159 zwischen Golling und Werfen. Belastend ist der Verkehr teilweise in Italien, vor allem in Udine, wo sehr rasant gefahren wird.

Steigungen

Der Radweg Alpe Adria ist steigungsreich, vor allem der Abschnitt zwischen Schwarzach im Pongau und dem Gasteinertal und die Bergfahrt nach Bad Gastein. Auch im Kanaltal geht es teilweise kräftig bergauf und bergab. Ab Moggio Udinese fällt die Route stetig leicht ab mit nur einzelnen kurzen Anstiegen und hinter Venzone radeln Sie fast eben dahin bis an die Adria.

Beschilderung

Im Land Salzburg folgen Sie den grünen Schildern des Tauern-Radwegs, und des Radwegs Gasteiner Tal. In Kärnten halten Sie sich an die Schilder des Glockner-Radweges, des Drau-Radweges und des Radweges R?3C (Tarvis-Radweg). Ab Arnoldstein und dann auf italienischem Boden treffen Sie auf braune Schilder mit dem Aufdruck Ciclovia Alpe Adria mit Logo: grün-blau mit schwarzem Radler und Schriftzug Ciclovia Alpe Adria Radweg. Im Gebiet des Valle del Cormor vor Udine halten Sie sich an die Schilder der ln@natura Route. In Zukunft wird die gesamte Radroute mit dem blau-grünen Logo des „Ciclovia Aple Adria Radweges“ gekennzeichnet sein, in Österreich soll dies im Laufe des Jahres 2012 erfolgen.schnittsweise Beschilderung für die Via Claudia Augusta.

Twee Haagse broers zien hun carrières in Nederland min of meer stranden en besluiten een oude jongensdroom na te jagen: een transportbedrijf in Congo en leven en werken met en tussen de lokale bevolking.
