Onze hoofdstad is een paradijs voor dagwandelaars, het hele jaar door. De routes strekken zich uit van de kust tot het Centraal Park en de naburige steden. Route 2000, het Pad van de Zeven Broers en de Vantaanjoki-rivier verbinden natuurgebieden tot zelfs meerdaagse avonturen.
 
In het Nationaal Park Sipoonkorpi wisselen oerbossen, rotsgebieden, beekdalen en eeuwenoude cultuurlandschappen elkaar af. De paden en voorzieningen zijn aanzienlijk verbeterd.

Hossa, ons nieuwste nationale park, brengt boodschappen uit vervlogen tijden: de oudste nederzettingen dateren van 10.000 jaar geleden en de rotsschilderingen van Värikallio werden 4.000 jaar geleden gemaakt. Wateren stromen vanuit drie richtingen naar Hossa en vervolgen hun weg naar de Oulujoki-rivier en de Botnische Golf. Voor wandelaars zijn er 90 kilometer aan gemarkeerde paden, die kunnen worden bewandeld, geskied en gefietst. Het pad langs het Somerjärvi-meer verbindt Hossa met het Kylmäluoma recreatiegebied, waarvan de paden door dennenbossen op zandruggen en tussen keteldalen lopen.

Walks Padstow to Falmouth features a selection of the best short walks from the section of South West Coast Path which runs between the towns of Padstow in the north and Falmouth in the south. The 20 walks featured range from 1 to 9 miles (1.6 - 14.4kms) and range from a short strolls to moderately testing hikes - along cliffs, through dunes, by sandy beaches and muddy creeks. Rewalked and revised in 2021, Walks South Dartmoor features walks in and around the southern half of the Dartmoor National Park - an area famous for its rolling moorland, ponies and dramatic tors (weathered granite outcrops rising from the moorland).
